Josephine Anne Metcalfe Townley

daughter of the late James A. and Nora T. Metcalfe, born on February 28, 1959 and currently residing in Davenport, WA, died at home on July 16, 2016 of breast cancer.

JoAnne was raised in Newark, Delaware. She graduated with the Christiana High School class of 1977. She worked at Kmart Castle Mall in Newark where she met Rand and they married in 1978. She also worked for the State of Delaware Christina School District for 12 years.

JoAnne was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Newark, Delaware and Davenport, WA.

JoAnne was predeceased by both of her parents. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Rand Townley Sr, of Davenport, WA, son Rand Jr (Angela) of Elkton, MD and son Jon of Davenport, WA, and daughter Angela Foley (Eric) of Davenport, WA. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and two sisters Nora Henderson (Linn) of Palm City, FL and Rose Schultz (Jeff) of Middletown, DE as well as brothers James Jr (Rose) of Bear, DE, George of Newark, DE, William (Tina) of Middletown, DE and Harry (Celeste) of Lewis, DE.

Visitation will be held at 2:00 PM and a Funeral services at 3:00 PM at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church at 35900 SR25 N. Davenport, WA on Saturday, July 23, 2016, with interment in the church cemetery immediately following the service.
