

It is with great sadness that the family of Roberta Quirk announces the passing of their mother, grandmother and great grandmothers on November 19, 2025.
Born on December 12, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Sandy (Alexander) Pearce and Violet Pearce Billingsley of Wilbur.
Roberta moved to Stratford as a young girl with her family and attended her early school years at Stratford and Wilson Creek before moving back to Wilbur after her father became ill.
She graduated from Wilbur High School in 1955 and that same summer, she married her high school sweetheart, Anthony Quirk. Residing and family farming in the Wilbur area their first 5 years of marriage, they welcomed two children. The couple moved to the small community of Mansfield, WA in 1960 and as a team, they wheat farmed and were involved in the community for the next 34 years.
In 1994, the couple returned to the community of Wilbur enjoying retired life.
Roberta enjoyed flower gardening, vegetable gardening that always involved lots of canning, freezing and preserves. Her other hobbies involved sewing, crafting, camping, playing cards and spending several winters as snowbirds in Nevada and Arizona.
We will fondly remember her for her raspberry cream pie, homemade noodles, sloppy joes, shrimp cocktails, and candy cane cookies.
To her long life, she leaves behind her children, Arlene Martinez of Torrance, CA, and Dean (Julia) Quirk of Spokane, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Roberta was preceded in death by her spouse, parents, Stepfather,(Vernon Billingsley) and her three siblings.
Graveside Services at the Wilbur Cemetery will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 11:00 am. A reception for family and friends to follow at the Sacred Heart Church.
At Roberta’s request, the family ask that any offerings in her memory be made to the Sacred Heart Church in Wilbur.
