After growing up in Delaware, she went on to Goldey Beacon College in Wilmington, DE and received her Associates Degree. While still residing in Delaware, Maureen worked for Wilmington Trust and Getty Oil. After relocating to Maryland, she worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Maryland State Government of Legislative Affairs. She also later obtained another Associates Degree from Anne Arundel Community College.
One of Maureen’s most meaningful and cherished accomplishments however, was being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family and extended family. She was also a devout Catholic and before her illness, enjoyed attending Mass.
Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her baby brother.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, William “Bill” Roenigk of Davidsonville, her three sons Michael S. Roenigk and his fiancé Catherine Beach of Stevensville, MD, Kevin P. Roenigk (Donna) of Delmar, DE, and Devin P. Roenigk of Davidsonville, MD, and three grandsons Chase M. Roenigk of Stevensville, MD, Gavin P. Roenigk and Harrison S. Roenigk, both of Shertz, TX.
A graveside service will take place on Thursday, August 14 at 2 PM at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, 900 W. Central Ave Davidsonville, MD 21035 where Maureen will be interred following the service.
