Josephine Francis Harrison

Josephine Francis Harrison was born October 17, 1933, and died April 5, 2026, at the age of 92. A cherished, hard-working woman, Josephine will be remembered with deep respect and enduring gratitude by all who knew her.

For many long, lovely years, she was married, and she built a life rooted in devotion to home and family. She was a teacher for a long time, and her steady commitment to others reflected the values she carried throughout her life. She was close with her sisters and deeply loved her family. As the baby of seven children, she held a special place in the family’s story and in the hearts of those around her.

Josephine is survived by two children: David, the oldest son, and his wife sue; and her daughter Connie Gelthaus and her husband Thomas Gelthaus. She is also survived by two grandchildren, William Gelthaus and wife Kelli Gelthaus, and other grandson Thomas Gelthaus and wife Wendy. She is further survived by five great-grandchildren: William, Emily, Abigail, Thomas, and Luke Gelthaus.

A visitation will be held at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home, 2401 S University Drive, Davie, FL 33324, US, on April 14, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A funeral service will take place at St. Mark Catholic Church, 5601 S Flamingo Rd, Southwest Ranches, FL 33330, US, on April 15, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.

A committal service will be held at Fred Hunter's Hollywood Memorial Gardens, 3001 N 72nd Avenue, Hollywood, FL 33024, US, on April 15, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
