Following his graduation from West Broward High School, Nicholas fulfilled his lifelong dream of enlisting in the U.S. Marines. During his five years in the military, he traveled the world and served with men who became his best friends, all similarly devoted to their country.
Since returning home, he has lived in Denver, attained his private pilot’s license and recently earned his bachelor’s degree from Florida International University in Disaster Management.
Nicholas could light up a room and was our “wild child” but also had the biggest and kindest heart of all. Even as a child, he had a natural desire to help people and so we will honor him by trying to do the same.
In lieu of flowers, please make any donations you feel appropriate to Stop Soldier Suicide at https://stopsoldiersuicide.org/
Nicholas is survived by his mother and father, Bill and Lisa, his brother, Ian, sister-in-law Alena, brother-in-law Avery, half-brother Billy, his brothers in arms (too many to name, but you know who you are) and goddaughter, Charlie.
