March 20, 2025 - June 1, 2025
Our cherished baby girl, Rosalina Amaya Rivas "Rosey," was born on March 20, 2025, at Memorial Regional Hospital, bringing immense joy to her family. Though her life was short, Rosey's impact was profound. She was the sweet fulfillment of her older sister Selina's prayers for a baby sister. For two precious months, Rosey blessed her family with her loving presence, bright personality, and interactive spirit. Her tiny hands, gentle sighs, and radiant smile captivated everyone around her.
Tragically, Rosey's life was cut short on June 1, 2025, at Memorial Hospital Pembroke, due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SISD). Though her passing was unexpected, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Rosalina is survived by her loving parents, Ramon R. Rivas and Clara Y. Garcia Rivas; her sister, Selina A. Rivas; her brother, Ramon R. Rivas II; her grandparents, Ramon R. Rivas Sr., Cyntia Rivas, Santo Garcia, Ida Garcia; and a vast number of aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly. Her family remembers her as a little old soul with a diva-like personality, who would babble along in conversations and light up the room with her presence.
In memory of our precious Rosalina, we share this poem:
Little Rosalina, a rose in bloom,
Too beautiful for earth, your soul was soon to resume,
A heavenly home, where love is pure and true,
A place where angels sing, and hearts are new.
In the book of life, your name was written bright,
A fleeting glimpse, of your precious light.
Two short months, of earthly stay,
Left us with memories, of your sweet way.
Your tiny hands, your gentle sighs,
Echoes of joy, in loving eyes.
Your smile, a ray, of sunshine bright,
Illuminated lives, with pure delight.
Rosey, our little angel, with wings so fair,
You soar with love, in the heavens' care.
May your memory, be a blessing true,
A reminder of love, that shines through.
In heaven's arms, you'll find your nest,
With love and peace, that forever rest.
Little Rosalina, our hearts still hold,
Memories of you, a love that never grows old.
Rest in peace, dear Rosey. Your memory will forever be cherished.
