Ashley Nicole Brown

Brown, Ashley Nicole born on March 13, 1999 in Lexington, KY died in her loving mom’s arms on October 19, 2011. She was surrounded by family and friends. Ashley was born with Aicardi Syndrome and was a strong fighter throughout her life. She struggled with daily seizures and multiple health problems, but that didn’t stop her from learning to sit up for brief periods or learn how to walk with assistance when she was 3 ½ and then lose all those abilities. Ashley was our angel girl. She loved Disney movies, music and being read to. Ashley was the energizer bunny and our “angel” fought to the end. Ashley is survived by her loving parents Ken and Nicole Brown, her sister Brittany, her maternal “devoted” grandparents Larry & Colleen Wells, her paternal grandparents Kenny & Linda Brown, Vicky & Bob Shilt, her Uncle Larry & Kristin Wells, Aunts Kelly & Kristy Brown, her great grandparents Joseph & Jane Wells, many great aunts, uncles and 2nd cousins. Ashley was blessed with the best doctors, nurses and teachers. We want to thank Dr. Greg Eberhart, Dr. Kim Khosla, doctors, nurses & staff at Cornerstone Pediatrics, Dr. David Franz & Melissa Whitesell at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Dr. John Riley in Lex. KY, Cathy Fox, Cindy Tuttle, Judy Hornsby, Dana Gifford, Michelle Lindemann, Jen Kneeland & Deeann Murphy at Springboro Schools. Special thanks to the Golden Nugget for all the Crème of Wheat breakfasts. Ashley’s celebration of life will be on Monday, October 24 at 10:30 am at St. Henrys Church in Dayton, OH, with her funeral mass to follow at 11:30 am, officiated by Father Ron Combs.
