

SPECIALIST AUSTIN WILLIAM FESSENDEN, 23, of Milford, Ohio, died suddenly on March 5, 2022. Austin served as a U.S. Army Reservist, 25Q(Multichannel Transmission Systems Operator/Maintainer) where he was decorated with the National Defense Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon. Austin was born in Dayton, Ohio on November 20, 1998. Preceded in death by his Grandmother, Illa Means and his Uncle, Samuel I. Arney, both of whom he dearly loved. He is survived by his son Wesley Michael Alexander Fessenden, fiancé Natalie Marie Greene, mother, Amanda Michele Davis, sisters Ava Nicole Davis and Abigail Lillian Davis who called him “Gaga”, and brother Aleck William Belt, for which he is named after, grandmother “Mamma Sissy” Lillian Kilburn, father, Jason Fessenden, step-mother, Kristy Fessenden, grandparents, Pamela and William Fessenden, sister, Layla Fessenden, step sisters, Jaylyn Fiori, Karrissa Gromoll, Kaylee Gromoll, aunt, Tina Fessenden, uncle, John Spangler, cousin, Kallen Coleman, his honorary army reservist dog TYR, and many friends and family members, all who will be forever better for having Austin in their lives.
Austin lettered in football, was Captain of JROTC and a graduate of Milford High School where he met his fiancé Natalie. A true hero, Austin was a proud member of the Army Reserves and was described by his Battalion as a great soldier. He recently became Drilling Reservist Ready and was preparing for his deployment to Poland. He adored Wesley whom he called his “cub” and cherished being his father. The absence of his presence in the lives of his close-knit family will be profound.
