

UNGARD, Beatrice (Bea) Morris Ferguson Davis, passed away peacefully at the Hospice of Dayton, Sunday, March 27, 2011 after a five year struggle with Dementia/Alzheimer’s Disease. Bea was born May 18, 1921 in Moon, Morgan County, Kentucky. Her parents were Robert K. Morris and Cynthia Ison Morris Skaggs who predeceased her. Also preceding her in death were her son, Robert L Ferguson of San Antonio, TX; step-daughter, Laura K. Ungard of St. Louis, MO and brother, Jim Jamison of Ocala, FL, Bill Skaggs of Minford, OH, Larry Morris, Charles K. Morris of Lexington, KY and brother-in-law, William L Ungard of Dayton. Bea was a free lance fashion model in Dayton and Ft. Lauderdale for several years until her marriage to Nicholas J. (Nick) Ungard in Dayton on April 10, 1965. Her greatest joy was her family. Bea was a great homemaker, a wonderful cook and enjoyed traveling to visit her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bea is survived by her husband, Nick; son, Charles D. (Alice) Ferguson of Palmetto, FL; her daughter, Saundra Ferguson-Walker (Jim) of San Antonio, TX, Mark Ferguson of Oakwood and Scoty Ferguson of Dayton, her grandchildren who were raised from infancy by Bea and Nick; sisters, Dottie Francis Meinzer of Gainsville, FL, Audrey Skaggs Wilson of Columbus, OH, Louise (Gilbert) Litteral and Diana (Steve) Tutt of Lexington, KY; brother, Robert Morris of Vandalia, OH, John (Inga) Morris of Leeville, SC, Donald (Kathleen) Morris of Dayton, Gary (Angi) Morris of Winchester, KY and Douglas (Helen) Morris of Mt. Sterling, KY; brother-in-law, Mike(Carol) Ungard of Xenia, OH. Also surviving are grandchildren, Blake (Yolanda) Edwards, Ashley L Walker, Justin B. Walker of San Antonio, TX, Nicholas P. Ferguson of Dayton and Terry Hayslip of Akron, OH and four great-grandchildren. The family will be eternally grateful to the Hospice of Dayton for their compassionate care, especially the staff of the Shaw Wing. Also, thank you to Dr. Larry Lawhorne for your advice and counsel. Please, in lieu of flowers, make contributions to The Hospice of Dayton, the Salvation Army or the Alzheimer’s Association. Visitation with the family will be at the Tobias Funeral Home – Far Hills Chapel, on Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 5 – 8 PM. Private services will be held at the convenience of her family.
