Beverly Nadine Rickert, a faithful, honest, and thoughtful woman, passed away on February 16, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on December 12, 1943, Beverly was the oldest of six children. Her parents, Alden and Mary (nee: Lewis) Trickler provided for the family owning a television shop off Cincinnati Avenue. Beverly completed the 8th grade.
Beverly married Freddie Rickert and together they had three sons. She loved her children deeply and worked tirelessly to ensure they had a good upbringing. She is survived by her sons, Christopher Rickert and Darryl Rickert, both residing in Dayton, Ohio. She was predeceased by her son, David Rickert.
Beverly is also survived by her sisters, Mary Paxton, Aletha Perkins, Noami Shields, and Janie Clark, all residing in Dayton, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rebecca Schifflet. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Carrie Rickert, numerous extended family members, and her church family. She was well-liked by many who knew her.
In her career, Beverly worked for 10 Wilmington Place, where she helped residents with daily tasks. She was very involved in the Boy Scouts and had a passion for ceramics, gardening, and being outside. Beverly was a lifelong member of the Wesleyan Evangelistic Church on Watervliet Avenue, where she was recognized as a strong woman of faith. She liked springtime flowers, hummingbirds, butterflies as a relaxing time.
Visitation will be held at Tobias Funeral Home, located at 648 Watervliet Ave, Dayton, OH 45420, on February 23, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at the same location from 12:00 pm with Pastor John Manly officiating. At the conclusion of services, there will be a procession to Valley View Cemetery where Beverly will be laid to rest next to her husband Freddie Rickert.
Beverly will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her community, and her faith. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
