She was a avid nature enthusiast and instilled a love of animals and the environment on her family. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and taking care of her cats. in her free time, she loved to read, watch movies, and spend time with friends and family. Before retiring at age 63, she enjoyed a career as a medical transcriber, spending the majority of her career at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center.
Carolann is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, James Lucente; her children, James(Cathy)Lucente, Philip Lucente and Cheryl Bach; her grandchildren, Courtney, Kristen, Daniel, Melina, Bronwyn, Arcadia, and Conrad; and her brother, Carl Merritt. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary(Bereisza)Merritt, step father, Fuller"Butch"Merritt, and sisters, Helen O'Brien and Elaine Santana. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Family to receive friends 5:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Beavercreek Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00am Thursday, August 28, 2025 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Calvary Cemetery.
