Charles E. Buckner

BUCKNER, Charles E."Peanut", age 78 of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at home. He was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio to the late George Buckner and Mary Straup. Charles was a United States Navy veteran and a Mason brick layer for over 30 plus years. He is preceded in death by his wife Doris Jean Buckner, daughter Cathy Buckner, brother and his wife Jim and Dolly Buckner, and son-in-law James Eldridge. Charles is survived by his children: Rick Buckner, Loretta Eldridge and Stacy Hackett, a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, step-children: Karen McClure, Lawyton Chapman, Tim Schaedler, Paul Schaedler, Missy Clark and their families, and many friends. His family wishes to thank the staff of Crossroads Hospice for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers contributions may be given in Charles' name to Crossroads Hospice Charitable Foundation 8069 Washington Village Dr. Dayton, Ohio 45458. Family to recieve friends 5:00PM to 8:00PM Friday, January 31, 2014 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel; where service will be held 10:00AM Saturday, February 1, 2014, with Rev.
