

Charles (Chuck) Madison Holliday of Dayton, Ohio (10 Wilmington Place) born November 10, 1927, died April 1, 2019. He is survived by his third wife Sally Grant; one son: Ronald Holliday (Margie); stepchildren Joanna (John) Woltja, Jim (Linda) Matthews, Janice Moura, Mary Anne Stolle,Terrilynn Griffith (Clarence), Timothy Grant, Thomas Grant (Patti); and a plentitude of grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, special niece Sandy Chamberlin and a large number of other relatives. He was preceded in death by his first wife Maxine and his second wife Mary Alice. Chuck proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea as a radioman. While having only a tenth-grade education he led two corporations to national prominence before returning to a sole proprietorship which also gained similar prominence. While the two corporations he drove floundered after his departure, the two companies he founded remain, one of which is approaching its 70th anniversary. His is a legacy worthy of honor and emulation. Chuck loved to follow NASCAR and was an avid Ohio State University supporter. He enjoyed playing cards and always had a joke to tell. A man of great faith Chuck read his Bible daily and attended worship services regularly. Being one to always give to others Chuck arranged for his body to be donated to the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 10 Wilmington Place in the Patterson Room from 2 to 4 pm.
