Charles Bence Lanham Jr.

LANHAM, Charles B. Jr., age 94 of Beavercreek, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles B. Sr. and Bertha Lanham. He is survived by his wife Ruby Lanham, sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Esther Lanham and Charles and Jill Lanham, grandchildren Noel (Ryan) Cleary, Ryan (Adri) Lanham and Michelle Lanham, great-grandchildren Elijah Cleary and Jillian Cleary, and brother Ernest (Colleen) Lanham. Charles served on the U.S.S. Princeton as a pilot in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a deacon at his church and taught Sunday School for over 30 years. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Charles’ caregivers: Doug Hilty, Renee Swann, Tonya Wilson, R.C. Cleary, Cheryl Hohman, Chris Smith, Judy Cornett, Norma Stephens and the friends at the Hospice of the Miami Valley. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. with interment following in Valley View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home from 10 am until the time of services on Saturday.
