Charles R. Lawson

LAWSON, Charles Reed (Chuck), age 84 of Dayton, formally of Hudson OH, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2012. Chuck was born May 26, 1928 in Dayton to the late Douglas E. and Marjorie Schram Lawson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Golden Lawson on November 28, 2007 and his brother, Douglas E. Lawson, Jr. He is survived by his beloved significant other, Charlotte Younkman, his children; Diana (Jerry) Roberts, Laurie (Kenneth) Wells, and Chip (Ximena) Lawson; six loving grandchildren, Jamie Roberts, Brian Barber, Charlie and Andrew Lawson, and Nathalie and Brian Wooden; a sister, Mary Lou (Victor) Frantz; and the loving members of the Younkman family. Chuck was a 1946 graduate of Fairview High School and the University of Dayton. Chuck retired after 35 years from NCR. During his tenure at NCR he was employed as a District Manager of Financial Systems Marketing in Dayton OH, Lansing MI, Altoona PA, and Akron OH. He was recognized many years as a member of the Century Point Club (CPC). Chuck was an avid golfer. He was president of Twin Lakes Country Club and had the distinction of hitting a hole one on three different occasions.
