Charlotte Sue Gerhardt

Charlotte Sue Gerhardt (Phillippi), age 87, of Beavercreek Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Ohio Hospice of Butler/Warren County, surrounded by her daughters. Charlotte was born in Somerset, Kentucky to Howard and Edith Phillippi.

She moved from Kentucky as a young girl and lived in many neighborhoods of Dayton prior to settling in Beavercreek and beginning high school at Patterson Co-Op, graduating in 1955. Charlotte worked as a secretary throughout her career, retiring from Beavercreek Schools with 27 years of service at Ankeney Junior High School and the Grounds and Maintenance Department. Charlotte loved being a mother and grandmother. Her love for her family and friends was boundless. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who always made sure that those she cared about were wrapped in love. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren.

Charlotte is survived by her daughters: Joni Stauffer (Ron), Krista Gerhardt, and Terri Gerhardt; grandchildren: Joshua Stauffer (Kacie), Olivia Harnish, and Caroline Harnish; additional family: brother Doug Phillippi and sister Diane Bruce (Tom), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. All will forever cherish her loving spirit and all the memories woven into their lives. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved sisters; Betty Jewell and Doris Oiler, and many close friends.

A final resting memorial will be at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia Ohio. A private gathering of family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider donating to a charity of your choice in honor of Charlotte’s memory.
