Claudia Lewis, age 74, passed away peacefully on September 10,2025 at the Hospice of Dayton. She was born July 29, 1951 to Wilbur and Regina Kempton. Claudia was the kind of person who could light up any room with her infectious smile and warm energy. Her spunky, fun-loving spirit made her a joy to be around—whether she was sharing a laugh, telling a story, or simply striking up a conversation, she had an incredible gift for making people feel seen and appreciated. Claudia had a natural way of lifting spirits and spreading happiness wherever she went.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—digging her hands into the earth as she tended to her beloved garden, reading a good book, soaking in the beauty of a sunny afternoon outdoors, or watching her favorite shows. Nothing compared to the excitement she felt cheering from the sidelines for her grandkids. Claudia was their number one fan—loud, proud, and always there with encouraging words and a heart full of love. Her warmth, humor, and boundless love will be missed, but her joyful spirit will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched.
A memorial service will be held October 4, 2025 in the Schwalm Chapel at Fairhaven Church 637 East Whipp Rd. Centerville, OH. With a gathering of friends and family at 1:30pm and a service will be held at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Hospice of Dayton in honor of Claudia.
