Darrell E. Stevens

Stevens, Darrell E. , age 66, of Beavercreek was taken by the angels peacefully, surrounded by family and friends on October 21, 2019. He was born in Salisaw, OK on July 7, 1953. For most of his career he was a Courier and Mechanic. He was a tease and a joyful part of every gathering. He never met a stranger that did not become a friend.

He is survived by his loving spouse of almost 40 years, Caren (Kemp) Stevens, and his sweet puppies Heffer, Commander, and Nakita. He is also survived by Brothers and Sisters, Susie Lewis (Dan), Errol Stevens (Rhonda), Shelly Cochran (Jimmie), and Leila Dee Casey (Richard); Sisters-in-law, Connie Sawdey (Jeff), Christine Pahner (Todd); and dear nieces and nephews, Jason Sawdey (Erikka), Christopher Sawdey (Jocelyn), Joshua Sawdey (Andrea), Sahar Ullery (Brent), Carolynn Pahner, and Catherine Pahner; close friends Steve, Robin, and Steve,Jr Butler and his Father-in-Law, Carroll Kemp (Barbara). He is preceded in death by his Father and Mother, William E. and Florence Sue Stevens, of New Braunfels, TX.

He was a member of Far Hills Lodge #784, a member of Dayton Shrine #13, White Shrine of Jerusalem, a Past Watchman of Shepherds of Fairborn Shrine #62, White Shrine of Jerusalem, and a Past Royal Patron of Miami Valley Court #53, Order of the Amaranth.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2019, at the Tobias Funeral Home-Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road with a Memorial Service

to follow at 5:00 p.m. Masonic, White Shrine and Amaranth memorial services will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
