Berton, Donald M., age 76, of Centerville passed away on Thursday October 9, 2014. Don was retired from General Motors and from the Voss Auto Network. He was an active volunteer at Sycamore Hospital and enjoyed the many friends he met there. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Berton. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn Berton; daughters, Lori Berton-Dox and Kelly Berton; mother, Maxine Berton; precious granddaughter, Madison Dox and dear cousins, Dee and Kim Berton. Visitation will be Tuesday at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave. from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff in the ICU at Miami Valley Hospital and at Hospice of Dayton for their loving care. They would also like to offer their sincere appreciation to Dr. John Haluschak and the staff at Greater Dayton Cancer Center as well as Dr. Shannon Kufman.
