KINSWORTHY, Donald D., age 80 of Washington Township, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 17, 2011. A graduate of Lebanon High School, he attended the University of Cincinnati, the University of Dayton and Earlham College. During the Korean War, he served as a Staff Sergeant AAA stationed in Okinawa. After the war, Don worked as a research engineer for the Lau Blower Company then as General Manager for the Conaire Division of Phillips Industries. After retirement he worked as a research scientist for Nutech Industries and formed Kinsworthy Consulting Inc. Don’s volunteer work included the Dayton View Coalition, whose goal was to desegregate Dayton Schools during the 1960’s and he served on the board of the Jefferson Elementary School PTA. Don is survived by the love of his life and Wife of 60 years, Carol; Three children, Donna (Doug) Feldmaier, Dean Kinsworthy and Dee (Jerry) Salyers; eight grandchildren, Kristine (Greg) Myers, David Feldmaier, Chad Kinsworthy, Scott Feldmaier, Carly Kinsworthy, Kate Salyers, Jay (Shari) Salyers and Gretchen (Craig) Prine; and six great grandchildren, Lukas Myers, Alex Russell (Matt), Curtis Turpin, Celia Prine, Jack Salyers and Grace Prine. The family would like to thank Dr. Erik Weiss and Dr. Mark Mariella and his chemo staff lab for their support.
