Donna Lee Copenheaver

Donna was the beloved spouse of Raymond (Ray) Copenheaver, mother of two, Pamela Brown Liff (deceased) and Lisa Dietrich (John). Proud grandmother of 4, Samantha Church (Matt) Kettering, Jessica Sullivan (Patrick), Fishers, IN, Kimberly Sobel (Joel) Blue Ash, OH and Eric Dietrich (Morgan) Denver, CO. Donna loved her 7 great grand children, Mason and Madilyn Queen, Lillian Church, Parker and Bailey Sullivan, Judah and Lucy Sobel.

Donna was a twin to brother Donnie who passed away shortly after birth. Preceded in death were sisters, Ruth Crone, Delores Latchaw, and Evelyn Gummper; and Brothers, Donald, Dick, Dale and Robert Gettys. Donna’s remaining sister Betty Sunday resides in Dover, Pa.

Donna graduated from Dover High School in 1957 where she enjoyed cheer leading and was honored to be Dover High’s Home Coming Queen her senior year.

Donna met her spouse, Raymond, and they wed on October 12, 1958, sharing 67 years together. They were blessed with two daughters, Pam in 1959 and Lisa in 1962.

Donna worked for Kettering Schools for 44 years as an aide and in food service. She especially enjoyed her years assisting the little ones at Pathfinders Preschool. Donna was a member of Epiphany Lutheran in Centerville, Ohio.

Donna’s greatest joy was being with her children/grandchildren, playing cards and yard games. She was an active bowler and loved playing the lottery.

Celebration of Donna’s life will be held at Tobias Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Avenue, 45429 Saturday, May 16th, Viewing 9:00am-10:30am, Service at 10:30am with burial following at David’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Sanctuary Hospice.
