

Hudson, Donna L., of Centerville, Ohio passed away January 14, 2016. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Dee Hudson, of Mentor, OH; and her nephew, Dr. Jerome A. Hudson, of Concord, CA. She grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, Yelm, Washington, and Council Bluffs, Iowa. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs. She was a student of the Chicago Dance Masters, and had her own dance studio while in high school. She was a dental assistant for four years. Donna met her beloved husband, Charles, when he was a patient. They were married for over fifty years, during which time they traveled the world, visiting 97 countries. He preceded her in death October 1, 1992. She was a Red Cross Nurse’s Aide during World War II in New Haven, Connecticut. She was Neighborhood Chairman of the Girl Scouts, and a choreographer for several dance programs, including a tap dance for Oakview Elementary School parents and a Charleston for the Aero Propulsion Laboratory wives of Wright Patterson Air Force Base, in Dayton, Ohio. She was a volunteer fashion model of Goodwill’s vintage fashion shows for over 45 years. She volunteered for the National Museum of the United States Air Force, in various capacities, including docent, the Registration Desk and the Information Desk, from 1993 to 2009, accumulating over 7,000 hours of volunteer time. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute to her memory to “The Charles Ross Hudson, Jr. Memorial” of the Air Force Museum Foundation, or to a charity of your choice. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Chapel. Private graveside services are pending, burial will be in David’s Cemetery beside her beloved husband.
