Dorothea M. Smith, age 89 of Centerville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025 at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton. Born on March 6, 1936 in South Africa, she was the daughter of Olaf Pretorius and Bertha Mostert.
Dorothea is survived by her husband of 67 years, Stephen S. Smith; her son, Raymond S. (Annette) Smith of Kettering, Ohio; her granddaughters, Sarah Smith of Kettering, Ohio, and Anna (Jeff) Bruns of Cincinnati, Ohio; and her great-granddaughter, Eleanor "Ellie" Mae Bruns.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the many wonderful caregivers who supported Dorothea over the past several months.
