GERHARDSTEIN, Dorothy L., age 100 died peacefully on October 23, 2012 at Oak Creek Terrace in Kettering. Born on August 28, 1912 in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of Herman and Marie (Timmer) Herzog. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Henry J. who died in 2002, brothers Robert and Herbert Herzog, and sisters Helen Haizman, Mary Hinkel and Clare Guyler. Surviving are her children Sue (Joe) Kennelly, John (Nancy) Gerhardstein and Gail Borgert; grandchildren Chris (Sandy) Kennelly, Tim (Sandy) Kennelly, Jenni Creighton, and Terry (Alissa) Kennelly, Lisa Lawson, Joanna (David) Thompson, Chad (Christi) Gerhardstein, Ryan (Marisa) Borgert, Amy (Keith) Martin, Kara Borgert and 17 great grandchildren; sisters Betty Ball and Jane Hebeler, and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church in Kettering Ohio on Saturday October 27 at 11 AM preceded by visitation with family from 9:30 until the time of service.
