

Dorothy Jean Fisher Patton, age 81, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 26, 2025, under Hospice care. Dorothy was born July 14, 1943, in Columbus, Ohio to the late William and Cecilia Fisher. She grew up in Dayton, Ohio where she attended Catholic grade school and later graduated from Julienne High School in 1961. Dorothy moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she met Gustavo (Gus) Patton. Dorothy and Gus were married December 23, 1967. They grew their family and returned to Dayton, Ohio where they became parishioners at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Dorothy attended and graduated from Dayton School of Practical Nursing in 1978. She then worked at Maria Joseph Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for many years. Dorothy enjoyed traveling across North America with her family. Her favorite place to travel was Arizona where she loved spending time with the “Phoenix Pattons”. In her retirement, she enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, playing Bingo, and trying her luck on the slots at casinos.
Dorothy was proceeded in death by her husband Gus Patton; parents William and Cecilia Fisher; brothers Donald Fisher and Michael Fisher. She is survived by six loving daughters Roxanna Karn, Charity (William) Freels, Kirsti Barber, Rebecca Holkema, Amanda Fenwick, and Erin Patton; brothers Robert (Cynthia) Fisher, Paul (Teresa) Fisher, William (Robin) Fisher; sisters Cynthia (Michael) Whitley, Charity (Robert) Leiter; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren, and many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be 10 AM Friday April 4, 2025, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church 533 Odlin Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45405 , with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM, followed by internment at Calvary Cemetery.
