KERN-STICKNEY, DOTTIE, age 59 of Riverside, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents Vincent and Dorothy Kern. She is survived by her loving husband Ken Stickney, son Richard (Tammy) McKenzie, granddaughter Brooke McKenzie, step-daughter Heather Stickney, sisters Carolyn O’Connell and Linda Furr, nephews Daniel O’Connell and Michael O’Connell, niece Cheri Furr, 4 great-nieces and nephews, and special friend Debby Cochrane. Dottie was an LPN. During her career she worked for Grafton Oaks Nursing Home, the V.A. Hospice Unit, and Hospice of Dayton both as a nurse and volunteer. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW 2800 and AMVETS 2003. She was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan and an avid bingo player. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. with interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 am until the time of services on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
