Douglas Lawson Stallard, age 92 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 in Simpsonville, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Minerva & Walter Stallard, brothers, Walter and Howard. Doug is survived by his wife of 70 years, Anna Frances Stallard; sons: Larry Douglas Stallard, Thomas Dale Stallard and Donald Alan Stallard; 5 sisters: Clemmie, Olie, Mable Iris and Ruth; 4 brothers: Glen, Herbert, Bernie and Ronnie; 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. Doug was an Army veteran of WWII and received 3 battle stars for Guam, Leyte, and the Philippines; he worked at Shefield Measurement and retired in 1979. Funeral service will be 1pm Friday, May 8, 2015 at Tobias Funeral Home, Belmont Chapel, 648 Watervliet Ave. with interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call from 11am until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
