Elizabeth Betty Julie Mazzone

MAZZONE, Elizabeth (Betty), age 89 of Dayton, OH, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016. Betty was born to the late Elizabeth and John Sakal on November 17, 1926. She was raised at Shawen Acres Orphanage, graduated from Fairview High School and retired from Dayton Public Schools. She is preceded in death by her husband Patrick Mazzone; sisters Mary Swartzel and Dot Gray; brothers Paul Gerse and John Sakal. She is survived by her children Dorrie (Judy Rohrer) Oakland, CA; Andi (Randy Shields) Kalamazoo, MI.; Mike (Evelyn) New Carlisle; Pat (Carolyn) Beavercreek; Tony (Monica) Cincinnati, Mark (Jane Penny) Cleveland; grandchildren Michael, Shantel, Nate, Maura, Dominic, Vincent, Jake, Liam and Joey; great grandchildren Evie and Kenedi, numerous beloved nieces and nephews, family members and good friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm, Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd, Dayton, OH 45429. Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 am Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 Smithville Rd. Dayton, OH 45420. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
