Elizabeth A. "Betty" Weyhing Seitz

SEITZ, Elizabeth A. “Betty” Weyhing, age 82 of Kettering, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Lamplight Inn Assisted Living. Elizabeth was born on February 24, 1931 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late John and Emily Boeglin Weyhing. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years John C. Seitz in 2013; her son, Daniel F. Seitz in 2002; a brother, Father John Weyhing; and a sister, Sister Mary Sarto, O.C.S.O. She is survived by her children: John J. Seitz, Richard E. Seitz, and Mary E. Shelly and her husband Wayne; two granddaughters, Madeline and Allison Shelly; and a brother, Edward Weyhing and his wife Mary. Betty received a degree in Nursing from Nazareth College (Spalding University) and was employed by St. Elizabeth for many years, inducted in the Kentucky Nursing Hall of Fame and was recognized as an official Kentucky Colonel. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish, delivered Communion to those less fortunate, and worked as a Precinct Poll Worker and served on the Democratic Central Committee, and was a big supporter of the Cincinnati Reds and the U.D.
