Miller, Ernest I., age 89 of Dayton, passed away September 23, 2014. He was born April 29, 1925 in Pikeville, TN. Ernest served in the U.S. Army in the 4th Armored Division during World War II. He was a member of Parkview Church of the Nazarene. He retired from NCR. Ernest was preceded in death by daughter, Janet Sue; father, William Ernest Miller; mother, Johnnie Mae Miller; and brother, Gerald Miller. He is survived by his wife of 70 years Reva Gentry Miller; son, Ronald (Chun) Miller; daughter, Barbara (Michael) Phares; three grandchildren, Michael (Angie) Phares, Michelle Miller and Donald Miller; three great grandchildren, Amy, Morgan and Tyler. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
