
COX, Floyd Allen 58 of Findlay died at 12:23 a.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Blanchard Valley Hospital. He was born on May 27, 1954 in Indiana to Clarence and Doris Jean (Wolfe) Cox. His mother survives in Dayton. On May 10, 1975, Al married Darlene S. Whitley and she survives. He is also survived by four sisters-in-law: Phyllis (Danny) Burr of Lynx, OH, Linda (Bob) Reed of Springboro, OH, Kathy (Ed) Miller of Xenia, OH, Karen (Jeff) Kyler of Springboro, OH, two brothers-in-law:Lonnie (Jeanette) Whitley of Bristol, VA, Michael (Sharon) Whitley of Dayton, father-in-law Midas Whitley of Dayton, his dog Harrison and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Clarence Cox, brother Gary Cox and his mother-in-law Lillian Whitley. Al worked in the Human Resource Department at Lowe's for 17 years. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed backpacking with his brothers- in-law, reading, writing poetry and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. He was president of Wildertrek and was a devoted Republican. Al was a good Christian, wonderful husband, son and brother-in-law. He will be greatly missed by everyone. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2012 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at COLDREN- CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay and on Friday, August 17, 2012 at Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Calvary Open Bible Church, 3741 Valley St, Dayton, OH 45424 with Rev. Michael Whitley officiating. Burial will follow in Byron Cemetery, Fairborn, OH. Memorial contributions can be made to the Hancock County Humane Society, 4550 Fostoria Ave, Findlay, OH 45840.
