

CATRINE, Francis "Frank" age 85, of Centerville, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on September 14, 2011. He was born in Utica, New York, September 20, 1925. Frank proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He received his BA Degree in business management from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). Frank retired from Delco Products, General Motors with thirty-three years of service. He then went on to work at The Freimark & Thurston Agency for over 4 years as a Claims/Customer service Representative. Frank was an Elder Emeritus at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Kettering and also led the church clown ministry years ago. He was chaplain for the St. Leonard Veterans Service Organization, and a volunteer at Kettering Memorial Hospital for over 17 years. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna B., his parents, Salvatore Francis and Clara (Miga) Catrine, his infant daughter, Ann Marie and his brother, Frederick. Frank is survived by his wife, Amelia (Amy) Bereda Catrine; children, Cynthia "Cindi"(Greg) Wilford, of Summerville, South Carolina, Francis P. (Karyn) Catrine of Springboro, Ohio and David Catrine of Centerville, Ohio; brother Edmund (Mary Ann) Catrine of Schnectady, New York, sister Mary Joan Catrine of Canaan, New York; grandchildren, Michael and Laura Wilford, Francis A, Maryanna, Kristyn, Brianna and Brian Catrine, great-grandson, Domenic Catrine; step-children, Christie Kidd, Don Bereda, Eric Bereda and Debbie (Mike) Venys; step-grandchildren, Mark (Miranda) and Jeff Kidd and Tara Fugate and step-great-granddaughter, Marrianna Kidd. Family to receive friends from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel Saturday, September 17, 2011. A Memorial Service will be held 6:00PM Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 4865 Wilmington Pike, Kettering, Ohio, with Rev. Richard Schneider officiating. Final resting place will be the Dayton National Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family would like to thank the staff at Elmcroft of Washington Township and Hospice of Miami Valley for the dedicated care they gave.
