

Lt. Col. GOTCH, Francis E. “Gene”, USAF (Retired) age 90 of Beavercreek, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Francis was born on June 27, 1928 in St. Louis, MO to the late Ernest and Irma Gotch. He is also preceded in death by his sister Audrey Renth, brothers Ernie and Bob Gotch, and infant son David Gotch. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Joan Gotch, sons Stephen and Gregory Gotch, daughters Kathryn (John) Staiger and Susanne Kreidler, grandchildren Sonya, Renata and Cerise Gotch, and Austin and Aaron Staiger. Francis graduated from St. Louis University with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Francis was a retired Air Force pilot and had served in the USAF for 28 years. He was a member of Flight-9 of the Order of Daedalians and a member of The Knights of Columbus. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018 at St Luke Catholic Church, 1440 N. Fairfield Rd. Fr. Terry Schneider celebrant. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services on Friday. Interment will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, November 5 at Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Flight-9 of the Order of Daedalians, Box 33564, Bldg 16 Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433.
