It was a pleasure to get to know Fred when I first came to Dayton in the summer of 2012.  As the 'Head Cluck', Fred adopted me in the "Cluckers" dinner group |:-). It was an additional honor, as a naval officer, to meet a WWII Navy Quarter Master who deployed on two tank landing ships. Fred's positive spirit was a real blessing to someone on an unaccompanied tour to Daytons's Wright Patterson AFB. Fair winds and following seas shipmate, and my deepest sympathy to the Ohmer family during this difficult time.

Rick, Cheri & family, we are sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Rita lost her dad in September and can tell you from experience, your dad will live on in your memories and in your dreams.

    Even being aware of his tragic prolonged illness, Linda, I and daughters are so saddened seeing Fred's announced obituary today.  He indeed was an excellent father, successful business man and most pleasant to be with socially.
