Gibson, Gary F., age 75, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017. Gary retired from the Dayton Police Department after 34 years of service. Following retirement he served as a court security officer at the Federal Building. Gary was a member of Church of the Incarnation and frequently served as a substitute usher. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chalmer and Margaret Gibson; his first wife, Sally Gibson; and by his brother, Larry Gibson. He is survived by his wife, Sallie Walters Gibson; son, Mark Gibson; daughters, Christine Gibson Bledsoe and Cynthia Gibson Walker; step-sons, Bill and Thomas Glaze; brother, Ron Gibson; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Centerville Cemetery.
