Irene Teresa Fronista

Mrs. Irene Teresa Koetter Fronista, 89, passed away Monday, September 19, 2022. Irene was born December 24, 1932, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Irene was the third of four daughters of William and Ethel Koetter. She and her sisters had a sweet friendship all of their lives. Irene was trained as a nurse and worked at that vocation in a variety of jobs for many years. Nursing suited her personality perfectly in so many ways. She was kind and compassionate to every one. She taught her children to put people first! She was efficient, hard working, intelligent and respectful. Irene was subtlety, yet fiercely strong. She was incredibly gifted at hospitality as evidenced by so many family gatherings and fun and games with friends at their family home of nearly 60 years. She was so thoughtful, many, many people got birthday cards faithfully each year as well as meals and visits. She was incredibly loyal and faithful in her relationships as evidenced by her long marriage of 63 years to her love Dr. George Fronista, her children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. She loved her God and her faith in Him was at the center of her life.

Irene is survived by her children Mike (Chris) Fronista, Theresa (John) Messer and Greg (Julie) Fronista, eight grandchildren; Daniel, Zachary (and soon to be Abby (Reagan) Messer), Meredith and William Messer, Carolyn (Messer) and Joshua Kirk, Sarah and Emily Fronista and her dear youngest sister Carol Litkenhaus.

Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 24, 2022, at St Charles Borromeo at 4500 Ackerman Blvd, Kettering Ohio 45429. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 4: to7:00 pm at Tobias Funeral Home - Far Hills Chapel. Burial Calvary Cemetery.
