POTASKY, Irene “Judy” lost her life to cancer on August 15, 2013. Judy was born in New York City on September 7, 1939 to Jack and Lillian Orlinsky. She is survived by her loving and devoted children; Heidi Simonsen and her husband Dean and family and Lorin Friedman and his wife Marge; her loving sister and brother-in-law Ellie and Rick Klein and their children Stephanie, Tom, and Amy and their families. Judy was a graduate of Packer College and Hofstra University in New York. She was an extremely creative and talented art teacher in Connecticut and Ohio, a dynamic member of the “Classy Ladies” tap dancing group which performed throughout the community, an avid scrabble player and reader, an excellent golfer, and an enthusiastic traveler making friends wherever she went. She had a great sense of humor and a warmth that was unmatched. Judy volunteered at Kettering Memorial Hospital, became a top-notch sales woman, and cared passionately about her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her bright smile, sparkling blue eyes, and loving heart. Private funeral services were held. TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL in care of arrangements.
