Ivan was born in Washington, D.C. on July 4, 1947 to Ivan Sr, and Margie Stuckey. He attended Wilbur Wright High School Class of ‘66 and Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio before heading into the world and beginning his journey at many different jobs in the area. He helped out at his family’s donut shop and laundromat. Ivan was a dedicated and hard working employee for 30 years as a Millwright at Inland. He was proud to retire in 1998.
Ivan remained busy his whole life, if he wasn’t at work or with his family, he enjoyed playing golf, joy rides in his convertibles and on his motorcycle, dart league, and playing pool with his friends. After retirement, he decided his new job was going to the gym. He enjoyed lifting weights, walking, and socializing with his gym buddies. Ivan will also be remembered for his time spent playing euchre at the Huber Heights Senior Center, but be careful - he enjoyed a fast paced game and would be sure to let you know if you played too slow! On a sunny day you could find him outside reading on the porch, watching Christian TV or his “cowboy” shows.
Ivan was a member of the Living Word Church in Vandalia, Ohio and the Huber Heights Senior Center. He was also a passionate golfer at many of the golf courses around the area.
Ivan is survived by his daughter, Tanya Clark (Stuckey), Grandson Cody (Karlyn) Clark, Granddaughter Kaley Clark, and Sister. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Father, Brother, and Son-in-Law.
It is hard to summarize Ivan’s life into one page. He lived an adventurous, loving, and beautiful life surrounded by his family, friends, and God. Many describe him as an amazing man and many more will tell you how his humor lit up any room he walked into. Ivan appreciated the little things, the little moments, and did not need much to make him happy. His family and friends brought him all the joy he needed in life. He would want everyone to know how joyful he is to be with the Lord and that he is experiencing a breath of new life in Heaven.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please perform a random act of kindness in Ivan’s memory.
