He was born in Greensburg, Indiana on August 24, 1949 to parents Clyde and Pearl Taylor. Jim was a retiree of the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and a United States Air Force Veteran Air Force Reservist Retiree. He was a devout Christian, an avid gardener, lover of photography, traveling, cooking, animals and spending quality time with family.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Pearl. He is survived by his wife Brenda (Leonard) Taylor and loving Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Buster; as well as a son, Chris (Michelle) Taylor; daughters, Bridget (Matt Sr.) Graham, Jennifer Taylor, and Lindsey (Kenny) Fairbanks.
Jim is also survived by several grandchildren; Caitlin Taylor, Lynn and Rylee Johnson, Matthew (Chelsea) Graham Jr., Blake Taylor, Elizabeth Graham, Leslie and Isabella Alvelo, Alexis and Gabrielle Turner and Kristina Fairbanks as well as four great grandchildren; Zeke Phillips, Chloe Carter, Ella Richards and Alana Carter.
The family will receive friends for a visitation to be held prior to the Noon Funeral Service on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 10:00 AM to Noon at the Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432.
