

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, William Roy Patrick and Josie (Williams) Patrick, and her sister, Linda Caspar.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 51 years, Terry Montgomery; her children, Brent (Shannon) Montgomery and Andrea (Dale Heath) Hogan; and her grandchildren, Madelyn and Brennan Montgomery, Damoni and Sa’Myah Heath, and Carter Ross. She is also survived by her siblings, Diane (Jim) Ebert and David (Karen) Patrick, as well as numerous extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her.
Jan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend. She graduated from Beavercreek High School.
Jan was very proud of her Kentucky roots, and family was always her top priority. She shared that love of family by organizing reunions throughout the years, bringing relatives together and strengthening family connections.
Jan spent most of her career working in the medical field, with her final role in medical coding. She was known for her reliability, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
After retirement, many friends came to know Jan’s entrepreneurial side, as she was affectionately known as “the Avon lady.”
While Jan most cherished time spent with her husband, Terry, she also spoke fondly of outdoor gatherings with her neighbors, who provided invaluable support, laughter, and friendship.
Jan’s life was marked by love, dedication to her family, and quiet strength. She will be remembered for her caring nature, gentle spirit, and the love she shared with those closest to her. She proved that some of life’s greatest blessings can come in small stature.
Visitation will be held on February 2, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at Tobias Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton Xenia Road, Dayton, Ohio 45432.
