

Jean was born on July 25, 1933 and passed away peacefully at Hospice of Dayton on April 5, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Stone (2020), her parents Mary and Marvin Allen, brother Robert Allen, sisters Barbara Goff, Sue Stauffer and Joan Padgett, and granddaughter Krista Marie Stone.
A lifelong resident of Dayton and Centerville, Ohio she graduated from Wilbur Wright High School in 1951. She was married to Bill for 68 years until his passing in November 2020. They enjoyed 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and enjoyed attending their activities and did not miss a sporting event, dance recital, or cheer competition. After raising her family Jean spent her working career at Belmont High School and Society/Key Bank. Jean never met a stranger and made many new friends later in her life as a resident at One Lincoln Park of Kettering, Harbor Chase of Beavercreek, and Fairmont Senior Living in Washington Twp. The family would like to say a heartfelt "Thank You" to the staffs and caregivers at these facilities who helped make Jean's later years enjoyable and comfortable.
Jean is survived by her sisters Jane, Kay, and Connie and brother Tommy; sister-in-law Dorothy Moeller and brother-in-law Jim Stone. She is also survived by sons Michael (Cheryl) Stone, Mark (Pam) Stone, daughters Karen (Robert-deceased) Foreman, and Kathy (Rob) Hines; grandchildren Brian, Barry, Brandon and Britni Stone; Jason Foreman, Katie Whitten, Brittany Thielsen, Brock Hines, and Colleen McKee.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
