John Joseph Vincke

VINCKE, John Joseph age 91, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Kettering Medical Center. John was born in Ottoville, Ohio to the late George and Dorothy Elizabeth Vincke. He was a United States Navy Veteran of WWII; he served as a gunners mate on the USS Crater. John retired from Delco Moraine, General Motors after almost 30 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman; who loved to watch the UD Flyers play basketball. His favorite baseball team was the Chicago White Sox. John was a member of the VFW Post 9927, the Flyers Club, and the Crater Raiders Club; where he enjoyed the reunions with his former shipmates. He is preceded in death by his first wife Yvonne Jean Vincke, and his second wife Marilyn Jean Yusko, sons: Gary Allen, Fred Yusko, and sister Mary Catheran Schmitt. John is survived by his sister Therese Reinemeyer and brother Larry (Barbara) Vincke, his children: Mike Allen, Jeff Vincke, Denise(George)Twaddle. His step-children: Patricia Denney, Katherine(Allen)Fry, George (Dana) Yusko, Gail Yusko, Mary (Rick) Katulak, Dorothy Yusko, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 11:30AM Friday, December 23, 2016 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel until time of Memorial Service at 1:00PM; with Pastor David Ringheiser officiating.
