Joshua Hamilton, age 34, of Eldorado, Ohio passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Ron Boekel, Chester Sandlin and Benny Hamilton. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Benny Hamilton. He is survived by his daughter Mikaelah Hamilton, parents John and Patty Hamilton, sister Rebecca (Brad) Wenning, and three grandmothers; Jessie Boekel, Betty Hamilton and Viola Sandlin, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Joshua was a US Navy Veteran, serving from 2009 - 2015 aboard the USS Nimitz; he was a Naval reservist from 2015 to 2023. He was also enlisted in the US Army National Guard From January 2023 to present. He served with the Preble County Sheriff's Office from May of 2022 to present , as well as being a Police Officer for Premier Health Network. Visitation will be held on Friday evening, December 22, 2023 at The Pentecostal Tabernacle, 480 W. Eaton Pike, Richmond, IN from 4-8 PM. Funeral service will be held at the church on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 10 AM with Pastor Tyler Luck officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Gratis, OH following the funeral on Saturday.
