Judith Ann Yeager

12 mars 1936 – 30 décembre 2024
Avis de décès de Judith Ann Yeager
AUX SOINS DE

Tobias Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel

Yeager, Judith Ann (Judy), age 88, of Kettering, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, with her beloved and faithful husband Jay at her side. Born on March 12, 1936, to the late Robert and Kathryn Nietert, she was also preceded in death by her older brothers and their spouses: Robert (Commela) Nietert and Richard (Jeanne) Nietert.

Judy is survived by her husband of 69 years, Jay Allyn Yeager, whose unwavering devotion extended her life; her loving children, Connie Yeager Winternitz and Jay Yeager II; cherished grandchildren, Kathryn Winternitz, Jay Yeager III, Abigail Winternitz and Lily Yeager; and adored great-granddaughter Adeline. She is also survived by her dear sister-in-law Bonnie Yeager and many nieces and nephews in the extended Nietert and Yeager families.

Judy and Jay built a lifetime of love, laughter and deep devotion, traveling to all 50 states by each other's side. Judy was a caring and loving mother, from serving as a Girl Scout and 4-H leader to attending the sporting and dance recital events of her daughter, son and grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and baker, enjoying crafts such as crocheting, counted cross stitch and sewing, and she took pride in maintaining a neat and welcoming home.

A graduate of Wilbur Wright High School, Judy was a proficient and well-respected professional administrative assistant, serving in multiple positions from Dayton Children's Hospital to the United Methodist Church's Greater Council on Ministries. Additionally, she worked in management at the Dabel and Fox Kettering theaters, overseeing opening night festivities for such films as The Sound of Music and Grand Prix.

A lifelong Lutheran, Judy was most recently a member of Grace Lutheran Church, West Carrollton, where a memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8, with visitation at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m. and a luncheon immediately afterwards. She will be interred at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to your favorite charity.
