Karla Ann Jansen

JANSEN, Karla Ann (McCool), Age ? (she would never tell) of Centerville, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Karla was born September 22 in Batesville, Indiana to the late Carl & Dolores McCool. Karla was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Charles Draut. Karla is survived by her husband Kenneth Jansen and children David Jansen (Kaelin), Susan Jansen, Gretchen Jansen, Matthew Jansen (Cindy), grandchildren Lauren Marley (Adam), Jonathan, Joseph, Jamie, Ashley, Annie, Andrew, Adam, and Tucker Jansen, sister Mary Jo Draut, brothers David McCool (Janice) and Billy McCool (Carol) and many other nieces, nephews and friends, as well as her beloved cats, George, Thomas, Cedric, and Benjamin. Karla worked as a teacher and after moving to Centerville worked as the office manager for South Dayton Internists for 28 years where she worked alongside Dr. Samuel Laneve and Dr. Prashanth Kumar and many other Internists. Karla enjoyed throwing parties and entertaining friends, flower gardening in the yard and relaxing at Indian Lake but family was most important to her. She loved to travel with her family and spoil her children and grandchildren. Karla was a wonderful person with a very big and caring heart. She will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends Monday, March 26, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave., Centerville, Ohio 45459, with the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to: SICSA (Society for the Improvement of Conditions for Stray Animals) 2600 Wilmington Pike, Kettering, OH 45419 (SICSA.org).
