Kathryn Christine Watkins Rothwell

ROTHWELL, Christine (nee Watkins) was born March 7, 1919 in Piqua, Ohio. She lived most of her life in Dayton. She retired from DESC in 1979 after 25 years of service. She was a member of South Park United Methodist Church and former member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was also a charter member of Chapter 3858 AARP. She was preceded in death by her son David Rothwell, daughter Patricia Hamilton, former daughter-in-law and close friend Nancy Rothwell, her brothers John Watkins and Hugh Watkins, and sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Watkins and Jeanne Watkins. She is survived by four grandchildren: Gary and Madonna Rothwell, Paula Hamilton and Mark Morris, Pamela and Stephen Serrer and Kathy and Dan Diaspro; Great-grandchildren: Stevie (Amanda) Serrer, Megan Serrer, Eric (Jessica) Rothwell, Ray Rothwell, Anna (Ryan) Konkel and Amy Diaspro; Great-great-grandchildren: Ariyanna, Makenna, Brenden, Sofia, Owen, and Carter. Funeral Services will take place at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME- Belmont Chapel, 648 Watervliet Ave at Fauver Ave, on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 10:00am with Pastor Tom Miller officiating. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Burial will take place at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery following services.
