Kenneth Frank Bornhorst Jr.

Kenneth Frank Bornhorst Jr, of Centerville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at age 66, after a short battle with cancer. Ken was born on February 2, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio to Dr. Kenneth Frank Bornhorst Sr. and Patricia Drayer Bornhorst. After he graduated from Altar High School, he went on to study Engineering at University of Dayton. Ken had a stellar career in which he traveled to six continents and obtained 21 patents. He loved to work hard and play hard his whole life. He loved attending car shows, talking about classic cars, talking about anything technical in which he could fix design flaws, grilling on his miniature Weber grill, and having a cold beer after a long day’s work. Ken is predeceased by his father and mother. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Bornhorst (Linton). Daughters, Mary Beth Maly (husband Joe grandchildren Grace, Claire, and Catherine) and Maggie Pope (husband Chris, grandchildren Evelin and Archie) and son Nathan (wife Adrienne, grandchildren Luke, Steven, and Nathan Leo). Sons of marriage, Troy, Adam, and Eric. His brother David and sister Patricia. Visitation will be held at on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. St. Mary’s of Assumption Catholic Church at 9579 Yankee Street, Springboro, Ohio 45066. Mass of Christian Burial will start at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Our Lady of Good Hope Cemetery, Miamisburg, Ohio. Flowers may be sent to Tobias Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Century Boat Club of Manistee, Michigan, in honor of the family history with Century Boats.
