Kenneth Pratt Morse Jr.

MORSE Jr., Kenneth P. loving husband, father and grandfather died peacefully Sunday, August 21, 2011from his battle with cancer with his wife and partner of 57 years by his side. He was born in Philadelphia, PA., October 17, 1932, to the late Kenneth P and Florence S Morse Sr. Ken attended Perdue University and graduated with an Engineering Degree. He was married on October 16, 1954 to his childhood sweetheart Joyce Elaine Loveland. He worked for N.C.R. in various locations and Reynolds and Reynolds in Dayton, Ohio. Ken has owned various businesses; Structalite and recently Independence Plus Homecare. He was an avid photographer and painter who loved to travel. He was an active member of Southminster Presbyterian Church where he was an elder and deacon. Ken is survived by his wife, Joyce Loveland Morse; his daughters Linda Morse of Duluth, Ga., Karen (John) Price of Hoschton, Ga., and Sharon Calcutt of Daytona Beach, FL.; his grandchildren Ashley Werner of Nashville, TN., Ashley(Brian) Lawson of Wilmore, KY., Jaclyn(John Robert) Boyce of Dacula, GA., and Nathaniel Robertson of Orlando, FL., great- grandchildren Chelsea Lawson and Drew Werner, his brother Peter S. Morse of West Falmouth, MA.; nieces Michelle Morse of Fort Worth, TX., and Micahel Morse of Mason, OH. Memorial service to be held 11:00AM Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the Southminster Presbyterian Church 2001 Far Hills Ave., Dayton , Ohio 45459. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, American Diabetes Association, or a charity of your choice in Ken’s memory.
