Kenneth George Schwartzkopf, age 83, of Xenia passed away Monday, December 20, 2021 at Kettering Medical Center following various health complications. He was born on September 13, 1938 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Lyle Schwartzkopf and Georgia (Pack) Schwartzkopf. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 51 years, Dinah (Czotter) Schwartzkopf, brother Ronnie Schwartzkopf, sons John (Jennifer) Schwartzkopf, Jim (Jessica) Schwartzkopf, four grandchildren, Alex, Natalie, Sarah, and Blake, as well as extended family.
Kenneth graduated from Cleveland State University with a Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He then worked at Wright Patterson AFB for 35+ years – specializing in the development of jet propulsion systems. In his retirement years, he stayed busy caring for his grandchildren and volunteering at Kettering Medical Center – where he logged almost 11,000 volunteer hours. In addition to his family and volunteer work, Kenneth had many interests, including being a lifelong lover of both classical music (particularly opera) and model trains. Kenneth remained an avid reader and learner into his 80s – recently finishing books on quantum physics, black holes, and time warps.
