We, her loving husband of 35 years, Doug Lindley, her daughter, Casey (Ryan) Csrnko, her son, Nash (Emily) Lindley, her granddaughter Sylvie Lindley, her mother Dolores Karpiak, her sisters Sharon Charbat, Deanna Rasso, and Deborah Gabriel, her brother, Michael Karpiak, and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and countless friends who were like family, will hold onto precious memories of her and will miss her for the rest of our lives. To know Kim is to love Kim, there is no doubt about that.
Kim was born on August 24th, 1959 in Dayton, Ohio and Kim remained a beloved resident of the Dayton community. She graduated from The Ohio State University and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity. She was a Certified Financial Planner and worked alongside her father and husband for 35 years. In addition, she was an active member of the Christ Child Society, Four Seasons Garden Club, and the Associate Board of the Dayton Art Institute. She was Board Chair for both Oktoberfest (2008) and AlterFest (2012). Kim was an avid gardener and her beauty and passion for life could be found in her flowers. Kim found the most peace and tranquility in nature, nothing brought her more joy than being outdoors.
She generously gave her time and energy to others in everything she did, always putting the people she loved above herself. She embodied the word “kindness” and her heart was always true. She was a dedicated wife, amazing mother & grandmother, adored sister, and aunt. Everyone who knew her would agree nothing describes her more than being a fierce friend.
Alongside her husband Doug, she was a loving parent to Casey and Nash and the most wonderful “Lala” to Sylvie. Her family meant everything to her and she was continuously putting them above her own needs, even until she entered the gates of Heaven, which we believe was the ultimate miracle she was praying for.
She is now reunited with her late father, Michael E. Karpiak and infant son, August Karpiak Lindley.
